On Tap is a monthly magazine designed to inform consumers of dining and nightlife options. Each month features local establishments, industry professionals and entertainers. In addition, we offer legal advice and product reviews of wine, spirits and beers to assist to educate and inform our readers and service industry employees.
On Tap is distributed as a leave behinds in nearly 300 bars/restaurants (40-50 copies per), 60 major hotels (75-100 copies per) and 50 retail establishments (20-50 copies based on size of est. per) in Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga and Rensselaer Counties. With a circulation of 15,000 issues published monthly and an estimated readership of 25,000 readers per edition. To break down the readership a little more, we estimate that the majority of our readers are in the 21 to 35 age range and the male to female percentage is around 60/40.
On Tap readership is comprised of people in the service industry (bartenders, waitresses, cooks, DJ’s, bands, hair-dressers and management to name a few) and a spill over into the general public who frequent bars, taverns, restaurants, nightclubs and other service industry establishments. Being a specialized magazine allows On Tap to target your consumer with a higher success rate than any other publications in the region. Between the consumer and the service industries people that eventually push and sell your products, educating and informing them is the first step. Unlike similar periodicals, On Tap is specifically designed for the bar/restaurant industry. We provide unbiased editorials that are specifically about the bar business, not the arts, politics or community. There is a market for those but we are strictly devoted to increasing consumer knowledge and presenting options to the consumer.
